Richmond Paddlers no.1!

By 4 October 2012No Comments

A small group of Richmond Canoe Club paddlers travelled to the recent 2012 ICF Canoe Sprint Masters Competitions based in Brandenburg an der Havel. Paul, Balazs, Shane and Gabor prepared well and entered the K1 (age grouped), K2 and K4 sprint events for 200m and 2000m. Among the the countries in attendance were Germany, Spain, USA, France, Poland, Russia, Hungary, Austria, Holland, Belgium and Switzerland.
It was a very successful and encouraging outing with our paddlers producing some personal bests when it mattered including and outstanding performance to win the K4 200m event. They are already looking towards the WorldMastersGames http://www.torino2013wmg.org/sport/canoekayak?lang=en and the Masters World Championshipa in Duisburg. Will you be there?
