Frank Luzmore Race Update

By 3 January 2015No Comments

We are looking forward to the race tomorrow with over 100 pre-entries received for the race. We have published on the website to allow you to check that all your entries have been received and the details are correct, so please let us know if you spot any problems.

Overall we are expecting moderate conditions, with normal Winter flow levels on the river, but it is likely to be COLD all day, so please ensure that you dress accordingly, i.e. cags, thermals, hats, etc. We will have marshals checking that crews are adequately dressed prior to getting on the water.

The rules on boat buoyancy and buoyancy aids are detailed in the race info. Please remember that buoyancy aids are compulsory for all U18s and those ranked in marathon Divs7-9 or unranked, and may be declared compulsory for other or all classes on the day, based on the conditions. Team leaders or parents may exempt U18 paddlers on a case-by-case basis at the check-in desk.

On the day Elmbridge CC have been kind enough to provide refreshments at the start, and there will be hot food served at the club house at Richmond at the finish.

PARKING – We have been able to secure an additional 20 parking spaces at the finish by kind agreement of the Royal British Legion Poppy Factory just up the road from the club (TW10 6UR). After this is exhausted please use nearby Nightingale Lane (TW10 6UZ) and River Lane (TW10 7AG). We will have marshals in the vicinity.

Additional information will be given at the briefing at the start at 10am tomorrow.
