Frank Luzmore 2013

Thanks to everyone who came down to Brentford for the race today. We had 45 starters and 42 finishers completed the 10.5 miles and 20 locks to Bull’s Bridge and back, including the tricky Hanwell flight, with 6 locks in just 600m. International regatta selection for Renee

We’ve just found out Renee, one of our top junior paddlers has been selected to attend the St Laurent Blangy Regatta in France. She will travel with nine others to race in the sprint event over the weekend of 26/27 Jan. This has been a great hunting ground for Richmond Paddlers and Renee will be following in the footsteps of Rebecca and Ali who took 1st and 2nd there two years ago as well as Josh, Ben and Emily

A great turn out at the last Hare and Hounds at Wey Kayak Club. Marco takes bronze in Slovakia!

In what looks like a very close finish Marco Csokasi has taken the bronze medal position in the junior C1 1000m final at Piestany Slovakia. Adam Stannard who often trains at Richmond also came home in a bronze medal position in the U23 C2 1000m with Iain Weir. The full set of results here show some stunning times for the junior paddlers and perhaps an indication of an extremely competitive era ahead.
