Entry
requirements and details
The entries for the Hasler Final need to be on
Thursday 31 August and I have put together the attached list on the back of
the Qualification Status on the web site and also around the club notice
boards. The race will be held on
Sunday 17 September.
All paddlers who seem to have qualified have been
entered on this list BUT if you want to do the race you need to email me
and let me know either way. I need you to:

Confirm your entry as per details of the
attached: NB that you have qualified and done the correct qualification
races as been recorded.

Give me your BCU number (you need to be a
member to race on the day).

Confirm that you are happy with the entry
fee £6.00 for adults; £4.00 for juniors £3.00 for Lightning (U12 &
U10).
I have allocated you to K1 if you are qualified in a
K1, and then those who qualify only for a K2 have been allocated to a K2
race – please let me know if you want to change from K1 to K2 and who your
partner will be.
Then please leave a copy of your BCU membership card
at the Galley (I will provide an appropriate vessel for depositing them).
I will pay this fee in advance and recover from you
shortly (I know where you keep your boats…)
Please note the qualification requirements ie. to
qualify for the K1 event, you must have paddled three races in a K1; BUT to
qualify in the K2 event, you need only have paddled in three events K1 or
K2 in total. We have tried to keep
accurate records but ultimately you are the best authority on whether you
have done sufficient races/in your correct division/ etc. I’d hate you to travel all the way to
Bedford only to find out you don’t qualify!
Lightnings can enter on the day and have no
pre-qualification requirements.
