The May regatta was a typical one, some sun, with a stong headwind for most of the weekend. It even rained so par for the course for this time of year.

Turrell dominated the Mens B K1 200 winning from Steve Tingay of Leighton Buzzard in 2nd place and some 2 seconds ahead of the rest of the field. Turrell was in fact placed 2nd fastest in the country in terms of his time, only 2/100 of a second down on the Mens A winner - A Kelly of Royal.

In the K2 Turrell teamed up with Tingay of Leighton Buzzard and the two powered home to win the Mens B K2 200, some 4.5 seconds clear of the rest of the field! Again in terms of time they were .5 of a second down on the winners of the Mens A race (Darbydowman and Wynne of the Olympic Racing Squad).

This weekend Turrell and Tingay travel to the Belgium to take part in the Gent International Regatta. They will be seeking further spoils, before the build up to the June Regatta in Nottingham
